Phase One: We Inform
Phase One includes a tour of the facility for children, a thirty minute video, and a question answer period with inmates who speak frankly with children at risk about their experiences inside prison and those that brought them inside prison walls. In this phase THE GET A L.I.F.E. Facilitators will inform youths of the realities they and their families will face if the continue to make life choices that will lead to imprisonment. The focus is to let them know the high price everyone pays when they choose to live as a criminal. The visitors will leave the prison with assignments to be completed and returned before their next visit.
